The Process

We will be spending a lot of time together on the boat, and Laurelli is our home. We want to create an experience where everyone feels safe, at home, and at ease. That's why it's really important to get to know you before we take you onboard.

Please fill out the form below and tell us a little about who you are, what makes you tick as a person, and why you are drawn to life at sea. Share your expectations, your sailing (or travel) experience if any, and what you hope to contribute to the crew community.

After we receive your application, we will invite you to a short video interview. This is not a test, but a chance for us to meet face to face, answer your questions, and see if Laurelli is the right fit for you, and you for us.

Sailing is about teamwork, trust, and shared adventure. By taking the time to connect beforehand, we make sure that once you step aboard, you feel welcome and prepared for the journey ahead.

The Contribution

Cruising on a sailing yacht is ultimate freedom, but it comes at a high financial burden. We know some boat owners don't expect a contribution to the boat, but unfortunately we don't have that kind of money! And getting there would've meant another couple of decades at the desk. That's why we're doing it now, and doing it this way.

Everyone onboard pays a daily contribution, split between however many of us are on the boat at the time. It covers all the running costs, including the boat itself, fuel, mooring, maintenance, provisioning, everything that keeps Laurelli going and keeps us safe out there. To secure your spot, we ask for a deposit upfront, which is deducted from your last days onboard. It gives you peace of mind that the berth is yours, and it gives us peace of mind that you'll actually show up. The exact numbers are on the application form, get in touch if you have any questions.
