This 14 day trip is special, since we will cover quite a few miles between the Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. It will be a real offshore experience with plenty of navigation and nightlsailing, but also with some spectacularly beautiful island stops along the way.

In our search for a way to cross the Atlantic by sailboat, we stumbled upon Stefan through “Hand gegen Koje” and booked the trip for November 2024. The route took us from Tenerife, across the ocean, to Martinique and finally down to Grenada.
From the very beginning, communication with Stefan was smooth — he was always ready to answer our endless questions with patience.
On board, we were a crew of eight plus our skipper, sailing a Lagoon 42. Our skipper Felix did an incredible job. With his calm, confident manner he turned the crossing into a truly unforgettable adventure. We also learned so much along the way — Felix was always eager to share both theory and hands-on practice, making sure everyone got the chance to grow.
Life on board had its rhythm: every crew member stood watch for three hours, every seven and a half hours, always in pairs. That way, seasoned sailors and first-timers could share the experience side by side — and it worked perfectly.
The passage from Tenerife to Martinique took us 21 days, leaving us with several extra days to explore the Caribbean by sail before we had to reach our final port in Grenada.
And those days? Dropping anchor in quiet, hidden bays, swimming in crystal-clear water, watching the sunset paint the sky — it was simply magical.
All in all, we had an amazing time on board and can wholeheartedly recommend both Stefan and Felix for anyone dreaming of their own adventure.

I ended up on a Lagoon 42, with Felix as our skipper — and honestly, this was probably the best trip I’ve ever been on. We had an amazing, harmonious, and capable crew, but Felix truly stood out.
Having crossed both the Atlantic and Pacific myself, I can say without a doubt that Felix is the best skipper I’ve ever sailed with. Not only is he incredibly skilled, but he’s also just an all-around great person — someone you can’t not get along with, always ready to listen to questions or help out with any issues.
The organization was smooth and effortless, making the whole experience stress-free. I’ll definitely be sailing with him again.

What an amazing trip! We sailed from Palermo to Mallorca and learned so much along the way. Two longer legs with night watches, plenty of wind, and an awesome vibe on board. Felix was an incredibly relaxed and skilled skipper — always explaining things clearly and open to every question.
The preparation for the SKS exam was fantastic. We practiced every maneuver over and over, and it never felt like we were just “along for the ride.” Sure, it was sometimes intense, but it was a blast — and by the end, we were all more than ready for the exam. Sailing over 600 nautical miles of open sea taught us even more than the exam required — things that weren’t strictly necessary for the test but are priceless for real sailing life.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this trip, especially if you need miles for your SKS and want to actually sail! Our whole crew passed the exam, despite some crazy setbacks (like a lightning strike right next to the boat just before the exam)!
